Hey, How is it going? I'm Jared I have been working with aquariums for a little over a year now and I love it. I currently work with the Army Corps of Engineers at an Aquatic Ecosystem Research Facility and I have been learning so much about aquatic environments and wanted to share my knowledge and hopefully to learn some things as well.

Specs:
20 Gallons/76 L
Planted with Vallisneria Americana and Lysimachia nummularia.
I also have 2 Tiger Barbs, Blue Gourami, Golden Gourami, Plecostomus, and 1 Angel Fish.

Looks nice! Are you planning on putting more plants and 'stuff' in?

Once the plants grow a bit more I think it will really start to look great!

It's a good start but none of those fish are suitable for the tank.
Maybe the tiger barbs if you kept just half a dozen of them and no other fish but the gouramis, plec and angel all grow far too large. Sad

Thanks, yeah I plan on putting a few more plants in there. I'm still new to aquascaping so I'm waiting a while to see how these plants work.

Thanks for letting me know that, I'm planning on getting a bigger tank soon what size do you think would be suitable?

Thanks, Everytime I get a new aquarium and set it up after a while I always want to get a bigger one.

Oh, hey how do you post multiple pictures on here? I'm able to get one posted but when I try again it just shows the url address as a hyperlink and not a picture.

Do one picture, close the tag... start a new tag, post the link to the second picture, close the tag.

This tank shows promise, though!

I second Caton... 55g should be big enough for everybody. But if its a common pleco, I'd go bigger still.

I know what you mean about always wanting a bigger size. Wink I recently got a seventy five gallon... and I haven't even set it up yet and I'm already thinking about a 125 or 150, and I even have a spot picked out to put it. Rolling Eyes

Get africans, they will make you get MTS quick, I am already thinking about changing out my plecos for some shellies.

Thanks, Here are a few pictures from when I first started about a year ago. I didn't have much to work with my friend gave me my first set up.

This is when I changed out my gravel with some soil and sand and added plants to see how the would work in my tank, and if I could keep them alive Haha.

Here is a current picture one of my gouramis and a tiger barb in the background.

That's quite the transformation! Smile

I have a soft spot for gouramis... After debating about it for months, I finally added some to my 46. Even my husband loves them! Beautiful fish.
