I have been down graded from a 50 gallon to a 46 gallon. (my 50 gallon broke) so I was wondering what would be some cool fish to put in there. I want some cool things. maybe unusual. any suggestions? thanks _________________ 46 gallon-reef |

I Had the same problem with mine (Except mine is freshwater) and decided to go on Youtube for cool ideas and found that more than half or them were saltwater tanks! Apperently it is a very popular size for fairly new saltwater aquarists. You should check it out for ideas. _________________ In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends. - Martin |

Perhaps a single Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish?
Maybe a single Trigger like a Picasso Trigger?
As for Reef Fish I like Bangaii Cardinals (might not be exotic enough for you though?) |

unless you have been keeping reefs, and sw tanks for over ten years and have lots of experience, don't get the fuzzy lionfish _________________

Triggerfish don't belong in a 46 gallon aquarium. They need much more room to swim. |

yeah I will skip the lionfish for now. I want a community for my first set up. I was thinking...
2 regular clowns
1 quarter size sailfin tang (was gona get a yellow tang but they can be really mean)
2 yellow clown gobbies
1 yellow watchmen goby
and maybe a ceduoscromis _________________ 46 gallon-reef |

Don't add a Sailfin Tang to your tank. It's way too small and tangs grow really fast. To be quite honest, a Sailfin Tang would also be pretty territorial in a tank that size. The Yellow Tang isn't the only mean tang out there!
You might want to consider swapping the tang for a dwarf angel. The Flame Angel is a beautiful fish and adds lots of color. It's pretty peaceful too. A Coral Beauty Angel would also work just fine.
I'm guessing ceduochromis is pseudochromis. Those fish are also extremely mean. They'll pick on more timid fish like the gobies and clowns. |

My apologies, I was not aware of ak dylpickles's experience in the area. I completely agree, not to be touched by someone without knowledge and experience in the area first. |
