whats the first egg laying fish you have ever bred?
I just spawned a pair of convicts!

Buenos Aires tetras - I was about eight years old.
I don't count the jewel cichlids that bred in my tanks prior to that as the problem with them was stopping them breeding.  |

None, on purpose. But if you count ones that I bred accidentally, then zebra danios.

Well... Technically mbuna lay eggs... they just keep them in their mouths until they hatch, so I guess mine would be Cynotilapia white top hara. After that, it was C. panda.

I thought convicts gave birth to live young? I'm not sure, I just ended up with tons of babies because convicts are the guppies of cichlids.

No cichlid's give birth (that I'm aware of...), but some do breed non-stop (I.e convicts)

Well that means that our Firemouths at my work laid and hatched in a 10g. Same with the convicts... nice.
