Stunning tank Darkblade!
I didn't see if you said it or not but what substrate are you using?

And that tank is just begging for some high grade CRS or orange eye blue tigers... cardinals are too fussy and spend most of their time hiding.

Thanks for the comments!

I am using Flourite black sand in the aquarium.

Update for July 18 2010

Full tank shot:

The HC was really starting to get thick, so I had to prune a lot of back. I pruned a lot back yesterday, and the above picture was taken after the initial prune.

However, today, I noticed that the HC was still quite thick, so I continued to prune it back some more.

Here's what it looked like after the prune:

HC, everywhere! I also managed to knock over the driftwood.

I bought this aquarium in Japan. I am pretty sure you can buy it online, but only certain stores will have it.

The price was 4000 Japanese yen, or about 46 USD.

A couple good places to buy this tank in the US would be AFA or ADG. They're about 60 or 65 bucks plus about the same amount for shipping... they're not cheap to ship. If you can find a local ADA dealer it's much easier.

@Darkblade: The tank looks most awesome!
Wondering if you've scratched your tank yet? I had planned to get one but the local ADA dealer won't stock them because the high clarity glass is too soft (they remove the iron to increase the clarity or something) so I went with a regular tinted glass cube Razz

Thanks for the comments Jacko!

I haven't scratched my tank yet, knock on wood. I am very careful, especially when cleaning the glass, and only use cotton balls to clean it. I probably treat the aquarium better than my own body! Very Happy

However, I am unsure whether the removal of the iron (as you already realize, the low iron content of the glass makes it extremely clear) makes the glass (structurally) weaker.

Haven't posted a picture for awhile, but they will come soon.

I recently pruned a lot of plants, so it will look quite sparse too.

Update for August 3 2010.

I cleaned my glass/ceramic disc diffuser yesterday, since it was starting to get clogged. After an overnight bleach dip with another full day treatment in Prime, I put the diffuser back in. It worked quite well, after the cleaning. In fact, it worked too well Sad

Ended up gassing 28 shrimp to death. Sad

Crap! Sounds like you had some bad luck, I hope you at least have some left so you can get the colony going again. Man, do you have a drop checker? Do you know what ppm that the c02 was at? Man, that is really too bad but I have done it and I am sure the best of us have done it.
