Are you willing to ship any of those tanks, Barebackdreamer? Do you have any pictures? I may be interested. Wink

I'd rather not ship because in my experience tanks are fragile and shipping costs a ton. Especially with the ten gallon and 20 tall, it would be cheaper to buy new from a store or something once you add in shipping. If you really want the vintage tank and you want to risk it breaking and pay for the shipping, I guess I could ship it. I'll try to get pictures later.

Caton, I can't promise the filters all work but I can check them out later. Those would be easier to ship than tanks.

So far I've had one person interested but the email sounds like most of the scams I've heard about. 'I saw your CL ad, is this item still available? Email me ASAP!' If it turns out they're not a scam, they'd get first priority because I'm assuming they won't need shipping.

>_< If they break too easily, I'd rather not risk it. Thanks for the info, though! I'll just keep watching my craigslist. *impatient*

Checked my spam box and there was a response from the person. Yep, a scam.

Rales, I hope you find some good tanks.

I'll check out the filters now and let you know, Caton.

EDIT: I know I had at least five HOB filters in that box, but now there's only two and only one works. It looks like a couple other things are missing too. Confused

Thats fine, I was just wondering Smile

If it is rated to a 55g I would gladly take it to save me $10 Cool

Not sure what it's rated, but it's the same size as the one on my 20g so it's probably 20g.

Well I got $20 from my 55g with a broken center brace and some guy is getting my cracked 75g for $20 for his snake tomorrow, Thats a whole lot better than tossing them Laughing
BarebackDreamer, I tend to pay $1 per gallon or less for just a tank and $1.50 per gallon if it has stuff with it and at most $2 per gallon for a fully equipped tank..... Hope that helps your pricing

This is helpful to me, too! I can more accurately make an offer now, if I ever come across a tank that isn't a saltwater setup.

Though I just found a 120 gallon with a stand for $300 OBO, but it has a leaky seal. My husband wants me to call on it... maybe I can talk her down to $200-$250. Very Happy (I used to only get this excited when purchasing a new puppy LOL)
