Wow Dusko, that's looking pretty good! Any chance of you making a journal out of it for your blog. Wink

I will see if I have time, that was the original plan.

No, those rocks are from my local fish shop Wink

Update;

I have introduced the old filter media from my established tank, a giant dirty filter floss (behind the rocks) Very Happy

thanks to the introduced dirty filter media the tank went from crystal clear to this;

the placement of the tank;

I will plant in about 2-3 days and introduce the first fish in about 2 weeks after the planting.

Regards, Dusko

I remember that room! You used to have your small reef tank in the corner.
By the way, the new tank looks much bigger in the room photo than in the previous photos. You will be able to do a lot with it!

So, everything is looking good with your rocks. If you get the rock layout right, the rest will fall into place - so they say! I'm sure it's true.Smile Do you have an odd number? Very important, my friend!Laughing It's hard to tell exactly but I count eight main rocks and a few small ones.

IMAZO is a great place to order from if you are in the trade.Wink Even with the translator, I couldn't get very far because:

Imazo AB is a wholesale distributor and sells only to established Zooaff

Correct the 58 lit nano reef was there where the white chair is Very Happy

All together there are 13 stones in that tank Wink

Zooaffar means a Zoo-Shop (LFS), meaning they do not sell directly to private persons Sad but I do work for a Zoo Shop so I can Razz

Back to the tank;

I might have done something plain stupid! I might have introduced too much crap with that old filter floss since the aquarium looks scary cloudy. I am switching off the lights totally not to create Green Water.
I added a few cups of the Fluid Filter Medium Easy Life to help binding any possible NH4 which might have escaped the filter floss.
I aslo took out most of the floss and left behind only a fraction of it, which is enough to jump start this tank.

Lets see how this goes.

Regards, Dusko

How's the cloudy water doing? Any better? I guess you mean it was cloudier than the pix you posted because those look normal to me - for a new tank, I mean.Wink

After removing the huge dirty chunk of filter floss and swithching off the lights for a while the water looks much better now.

I desided to plant a little today Very Happy

Some Crinum calamistratum and Anubias sp.

Minimalistic!

Love it! I saw some rocks like the ones you have there, and I thought they would make a good hardscape. To bad the ones I saw are 5 hours away!

I can wait for it to grow in.
