one question... How do you tell what thickness you need for the plywood and glass? _________________ 46 gallon-reef |

A question just came to me. Could you line the tank with a pond liner? _________________ 46 gallon-reef |

you could line it with pond liner, but, it would effectively be useless come the glass section unless you could adhere it cleanly.. somehow to the glass without making a mess. _________________ Let the current take you where you may not always want to go. |

what I think I might do Is line the back 3 sides with pond liner then in the front silicone the glass. _________________ 46 gallon-reef |

This is probably not a very helpful post, but I would just not bother to be honest. It's just not worth the effort, a regular glass aquarium is not all that expensive compared to the livestock and other equipment costs. The only people you see making plywood aquariums are those that are obsessed with & are good at DIY. _________________ Fishing in the Rivers of Light |

Have you ever built something like this before? What about the risk of leaks, breaks from improper structural reinforcements? Do you even have the tools and knowledge of how to use them required? _________________ Fishing in the Rivers of Light |
