The actual CO2 line from my tank is going into the power head so the impeller chops up the bubbles before they enter the jar. The bottom of the jar has a scotch brite pad in it so it traps the larger bubbles in the jar so they disolve before exiting. I'll try to snap some closeups tonight.
I also need to do some cleaning and probably should have before I decided to snap pictures. The Cabomba is doing better but I cheated and purchased some new ones since the first batch died off. The new ones are doing much better.
I have considered a Pleco, I need to do some reading and make some decisions soon! |

Actually this is my first time with a CO2 system. I have spent a lot of time reading the forums here and reading different websites online to learn all about this stuff. It's really adicting! One thing I would add is that I really inderestimated the effectiveness of the Co2 reactor. I was running about 15 PPM without the reactor. Once I added the reactor my CO2 levels jumped to about 50 ppm! Its a good thing, since I was able to dial down the needle valve on my regulator but I was worried I'd harm the fish with CO2 levels that high. The plan is to keep adjusting my needle valve until I hit a safe 25 ppm or so. |

Very detailed!! Nice.
Do you fill your entire tank with R/O water?
I use those flakes as well.
Looks good, man! Love those cardinals. |

I liked the video! I see how the reactor really works now! and your tank must take forever to refill!!! _________________ In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends. - Martin |

Another update:
It has been a few months now. I had a lot of trouble getting my plants to gro at first. I discovered Tom Barr's Estimative Index dosing method for fertilizer and wow things have turned around. I'm dosing dry ferts now rather than premixed junk. My plants are starting to show explosive growth.
The Cabomba is starting to finally recovering, the needles aren't filling in on the existing ones, but I have nice green new ones coming in. The long one on the far left actually runs along the surface almost to the center of the tank.
I have not lost a single fish in months. I have massive pearling from my Val's and Amazon Sword.
I also picked up 5 Minor Tetras. My stocking list is :
24 Cardinal Tetras
6 Lemon Tetras
6 Rasboras
5 Minor Tetras
4 Otto's
1 Cherry Barb
1 Platy
