Here are a few updated pics. I swaped out my apple snails for 2 Zebra Nerlites and 2 Tigers.
I moved the wood a little, I am also in the process or going pressurized..My 5lb cylinder should be in this week, already have my Milw Regulator. Also I am on the hunt for a 75gal with stand. Planning on upgrading.

I can get a 40# tank for 70 dollars...if I go pressurized I will get that, that should last my 10g and 20g for a long long time. _________________

WOW that is a good price... I got mine at AquariumPlants for 60$ empty but I needed one I could fit under the tank. I have a Great Dane that is a very curious dog and loves SHINEY things. |

I can get mine at a local agricultural store, I don't know if it is compatible with the regulators and stuff but I am sure there is something out there that fits it. _________________

Up and running
I hate cell phone cameras, looks like my tank is ate up with algae.
Another update.
In the process of upgrading to a 75gal. This will be the final upgrade, but I want something with a slightly bigger footprint, not so much for the fish but so I can add more plant.
I tracked down a really nice stand so now all I need is the actual tank. I will do a new journal for the switch. |

I was looking for a 55 or a 75 when I found my 75, and I am very glad I got a 75! The bigger footprint is nice in terms of aquascaping. Now when I look at 55 gallons, they all look so thin, and I keep finding reasons on why I no longer want one.
My husband, though, has a sudden renewed interest in getting an oscar... so I told him if he wants an oscar, he's going to have to buy me a 90g or bigger for Christmas... (I need a new project!) I can see wanting bigger and bigger tanks becoming a problem. I literally have nowhere else to put one. _________________ - Rachel |

You have a problem with not putting tanks anywhere? I keep getting offers for free tanks and I have 5 in my room that are not set-up...55g, 75g, 30g, 20g, and a 15g, I also have a spare 10g in the garage. I need either more filters and heaters or I need toi stop getting these tanks. (I have three heaters coming in the mail to replace some of mine that are auto set ones that keep the tank around 75*f so its too cold). Maybe I should stop posting on craigslist for free ones but then again...who could turn down a free aquarium? My room looks like a aquarium warehouse... _________________

Well I think the gf (wife soon) is only going to allow 1. So I want to make it a good one. I wish I could talk her in to letting me set this 55 up as a cichlid tank but I do get a little out of hand with the expenses.
I will be making a few other upgrades when I move to the 75.
1. Hydro inline 300W heater
2. Additional Canister Filter (going away from the spraybar)
3. Aqueon Canopy (http://www.aqueonproducts.com/products/modern-series-stands-canopies.htm#)
4. Maybe a pH controller, if found at the right price. |
