Perhaps, or you could try feeding it substrate ferts if you aren't already. If neither of those help, I would just assume that the plant you have won't grow any taller.

rootmedic.com has some great fert tabs, use plantedtank for a discount. Look at this thread.

Here are some updated photos, after I trimmed up the Sprite a little..Tell ya one thing, that plant grows like crazy.

The Flora

Ludwigia repens -Red Ludwigia 6 stems
Water Sprite
Amazon Sword 2
Several Italian Vals
Banana Plant - Which I have to fix, only 1/3 should be burried but the khulies and Dojo love digging it up.
2 java Ferns
Java moss
Giant Crypt Wendtii, Red (Cryptocoryne wendtii)

I am planning on removing the Sprite, I want something with a little more of a challenge. I am also going to remove the big rock and replace it a couple of unique rock formations and maybe some Anudias nana pettite. Suggestions and recomendations appreciated.

Oh yea and I am taking that God for Saken fake stump out, I only did that for the Kuhlies and I plan on finding something a little more natural.

Its looking good, DaleJr!

I think I like that layout. I imagine you'll let the plants fill in into more than just the circles where you're originally putting them, yes?

I also take it that this is not to scale? The front to back ratio is way deeper than what a standard 55g is.

correct, I have never had swords before but I have seen some crazy pics of how big they get. I am not looking for HUGE plants. But I have to take into account enough area for the fish to swim.

I was amazed at how big they're supposed to get, too! I had to move my swords back and to the side a little bit when I realized it would end up growing into a huge plant, smack dab in the center of the tank. Laughing
