I just acquired some large stones with fossils in them and they come from Morocco. I want do display them inside my tank. They are polished on some areas and raw on others.

Is there a way to check if they will affect the pH or anything else in my tank ?
And what should I clean them with ?
I'm not sure about boiling them , because I don't want them to crack.

thanks in advance

They will be limestone and this will affect tank water.
Better to display them outside the tank.

If they were safe you wouldn't need to boil them - this is for rocks from waters which may therefore carry pathogens.
