Looks good. Any plans for the tank?
What size is that powerfilter? Depending, you may want to lower the intake if you can if you are not planning on an additional filter for better movement.

The good thing with bowfronts is good water circulation if the positioning is right. Before I added another filter, my 46 had one Penguin BioWheel 200. If positioned on the left side of the tank, nearly against the center-brace, I got exellent water movement. This was due to the curvature of the glass, allowing the flow to hit the front of the tank and follow the glass and even reach near the bottom. You will have some slack areas though.

Well I am having a sand portion so I don't want the sand toget blown around... I have 2 filters for it. One is the AquaTech 30-60 and the other is the Marineland Penguin Biowheel 200. the bigger filter will be on the far left side of the tank. The smaller one will be centered between the middle brace and the right side.

Sounds good. I wouldn't mess with extending the intake then. You should have plenty water flow. and like any tank, you'll have dead space where mulm collects and you can gravel vac it up.

well I'm actually planning on planting this tank. therefore in most parts I won't have to vacuum as much. but I can find the dead spots and not plant there!

OR.. find the dead spots, and DO plant heavily there. The plants will use the mulm as fertilizer. Smile

Here are a few pics of how I plan to make the Gravel/Sand divider!

This is where the bottom part of the stand has light water damage. I have circled the places it is deformed.

Here is the pack of the tank. This is how I fixed the chipped paint...

Yupp thats right! I colored paper with marker and duct taped it to the back!!! This proves that duct tape fixes nearly everything! Lol! Laughing
