Well in my new tank I am wanting a sand/gravel barrier so I can keep Panda and Dwarf Cories. I was planing on using garage weatherproofer? like Brandon41 did but he just posted they got mixed together. So I need an idea for a barrier other than styrofoam. only because I am making a comlicated bending shape. Any ideas?

Aquarium safe silicone, I posted about it on Brandon's journal. Make a mold that is straight and long. Then get 2 tube's of aquarium safe silicone and make a wall out of it. Then bend the silicone and cut to the length that you want, then use some silicone to silicone the silicone to the tank Laughing

I am thinking of a thin plastic tube that you can expand so that you can get it out. I am not sure what kind, you could even just put a HUGE line of silicone right on the glass.

I'd go with what caton is saying, and freehand it in the tank. Just build it up layer by layer until it is the height you want it to be and then let it cure.

FYI - Silicone is the stuff that you use in aquariums, to seal doors, your shower or tub, etc.
- Silicon is like glass sand, and is used as an abrasive in many applications.

Just so we don't confuse those who do not use english as a first language and not understand what you mean.

I realize that, but I was claifying your spelling errors, as they were not just a spelling error, but 2 different words totally, and those who do not use english fluently may not have understood that, as we were talking about sand barriers (silicone) and something that is very similar to sand itself (silicon). And being that the topics we were on, this could be confusing.
