My marine set up(200L) has a "fluval U4" internal filter, that came as part of the complete set up, my LFS were I had the set up from has got the "fluval 305"external filter on offer

Greetings Mike, welcome to the forum.

Personally, I would never consider an internal box filter like that for my display; simply because they are not easy to clean, they take up valuable tank space and look terrible inside your aquascape.

As for the external cannisters; this is also something I don't care for, mainly because they are very difficult to clean and they really don't allow for good gas exchange and oxygenation. Please note; I am not saying they won't work
