yes I do I actually meant to put that in the last post. but what brand of liquid water testers do you prefer.

The API liquid test kits work well for their cost. These test kits will be suitable for our purposes.

okay thank you. And if the tank is too hot will algae grow faster causing cloudy water? I am talking about my 10 gallon. I have trouble with a kind of algae I know of but can't remember the name of it. it is kinda fuzzy looking and grows when food gets in it.

As far as I know, temperature does not affect the growth rate of algae.

For an excellent guide on algae, please take a look at the article that Dusko wrote here:

It will likely help you identify the type of algae you have.

okay when I got home today I took the towels off of my tank. The water was very murcey and there was more algae then to start with. now what do I do.

Yes? I started on Friday, did I not?

Full day 1 was Saturday
Full day 2 was Sunday
Full day 3 was Monday
Full day 4 was Tuesday. Today is Tuesday.
