Using a shop light is a perfectly good means of illuminating a tank. _________________ Anthony |

Okay good. I was just wondering if this can hurt my fish in anyway.
Thanks! _________________

Nope, just make sure you give them a break at night for sleep, shop lights are a great inexpensive way to light a tank, especially when you don't plan on doing anything more than low maintenance plants _________________

Yeah I always turn off my light. Its in my room and I have to have it DARK for me to sleep, plus I'm a light sleeper so...Dark room, light sleeper...Isn't that a oxy-moron? _________________

Just wondering, would halogen light's work for a planted tank? I mean like flood light's that are 100W. _________________

Halogen lamps are much less efficient than fluorescent bulbs for the same amount of power they consume. In addition, they put out a lot of heat as well. _________________ Anthony |
