Very colorful with the dark substrate. I didn't know Cryptocoryne undulata was a reddish plant; good accent plant.

I think everything has finally grown in - 3 months since set up.

Started giving away shrimp last week to try and reduce the population (some went to the supervisor, gotta keep him happy Laughing), might have to do a trim of the plants soon too.

Thanks for the compliments guys.

About to do a major trim on this tank, so I thought I'd post a picture before it all gets cut back. Laughing

I thought everything had grown in, I was wrong. The crypts have practically overshadowed everything else in the tank now. It's not a bad look, but I'm contemplating replacing them with something thats a little less overstated - it's like they're becoming too much of a focal point. Perhaps even just letting the chain sword take over the space currently occupied by the crypts. What do you guys think?

Stupid cherry shrimp population and wayyy overgrown crypts. Rolling Eyes

"IT'S A TRAP!" Rolling Eyes

Cherry problem mostly solved, now to figure out what to do with the crypts. Rolling Eyes

Side view with lots of reflection and green spot algae, just to ruin any perfect impressions anyone has mistakenly acquired. Rolling Eyes

That's a very nice setup you have, with really cool shrimp.

wow this is amazing. I hadly get any work done as it is, but if I had to stare at this, I'd be even more worthless!! Couple questions, how many watts of light are you using, and what is the volume of your cube?

Also those crypts are going to out grow your tank very quickly as you've likely noticed. I've got some in my main tank that are well over 16 inches or so, and have developed a massive root structure that might harm some of the chain sword you've got.

Oh and love the egg crate idea, I'm totally going to use that on my next setup.

Very jealous!
