I'm trying this again:
This is my 75G planted tank 2.5 weeks after initial setup. (1/22/03)
Since I don't have a digital camera, I don't have a newer picture. but it looks like a jungle and had to remove most of the rock to make room for plants.

Waffle, your tank looks awesome !
You mentioned you had a sidthimunki botia. Have you had him a long time? I've looked high and low for them locally. The only ones I can find are in a store's "For viewing only" tank, and they won't part with them! They even said they were on a "no ship" list from the far east... meaning they are on the endangered list.
If there's an lfs where you are that you bought him from can you give me the name?
Thanks,
A.C. |

I like the cave the driftwood makes. Why do you use unconditioned tap water? |

Thanks for the complements,
SOS: Nope, the angels don't bather the neons, I'm getting worried about the size of the Festivums however.
The_B: I use unconditionned water because, the plants and fish seem to do OK, Parameters are not ideal but sure work. So there is no needed expense in trying the use RO or DI water.
AlleyCat: check your PM

Severums are closely related to Festivums. My severum has never eaten a fish and he's about 7 inches long. I put feeder guppies in for my needlefish and the severum never bats an eyelash. This may not hold up for Festivums though. _________________ 150 Gallon (567.811768 liters) community tank, 50 Gallon African Tank, 7 reef tanks, 6 FOLR, 28 freshwater tanks |
