SadHeart: What size tank are you filtering?

Diademhill: when you put the funnel in the pot, is the funnel spout coming out of the drainage hole (pot is upside down) or out of the top (pot is right-side up)?

It is a 20 gallon long. Everytime I checked the medium...there was debri in it. So it was filtering; I just couldn't tell you how fast.

The pot is right way up, the funnel is upside down.

The pot can be anything. Terracotta looks OK but I've used variations of this filter in 5 gallon buckets to make temporary pond filters.
It is a condensed undergravel filter. For ponds I use aragrog and a powerhead.
