So like up by Ely? or closer to the lake? I have been all the way down the highway that is right by the lake. _________________ God created all the fish in the sea, he just gave some more than others, cichlids rule!
I've seen wolves on several occasions. First time was a single black/grey wolf... Most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Second time was a trio of tan/grays. I'm always awestruck until I start wondering if my cats are inside. >.>
We had great grey owls living in our giant wood pile one winter. I got to watch them hunt once, that was incredible.
Bald eagles and red-tailed hawks also make an occasional appearance.
There's also supposedly a puma in the area but I haven't seen it yet. One of my friends saw it a couple years back a few properties away. And if I do see it, I'd prefer for it to not be in my yard.
I've seen enough black bears lately that they don't impress me anymore.
Deer... Don't get me started on deer. We have a pair of does that goes through our fields every once in a while and we've affectionately named them "Target" and "Practice."
Same for porcupines. Our dogs have come home full of quills too many times. Deer and porcupines make up 90% of what we see on the side of the highway.
I should mention my 'yard' is about 20 acres of horse pasture. And if you google 'Danbury, WI' you'll understand. _________________
As a kid a Buzzard landed in the front garden, I decided I'd try and catch it with my fish landing net, it opened its wings and I thought sod that and ducked. _________________ To have peace one must always prepare for war.

we've once had an albino squirel on our fence but it went into next doors garden
I recently went to Florida and saw some gators, tilapia, and Plecos in my grand parents back yard. _________________ God created all the fish in the sea, he just gave some more than others, cichlids rule!

Hum. Bald eagles flying over M50 and almost at our van. Mostly, we have pheasants, turkeys, deer, barn swallows, bats, coyotes, skunks, hawks, vultures, owls, and other critters. I like it here. There's more but I don't want to bore you.
