Ah OK so this isn't your fist marine tank then, not that it makes it any less impressive
There are some really cool photos on your blog by the way!
Does your shop have a website? |

Hi Bubbles, my Avatar/Signature Goby is a Amblyeleotris guttata which I kept in my Nano Reef.
If you mean about the one I keep now it is called Amblygobius hectori.

Yeah... I didn't have my glasses on when I was looking at your avatar. What can ya say, huh? Hehe.
I've been looking into gobies, and they're all so gorgeous! I've just started looking at doing saltwater, and you're right! I'm a goner!
I tried your store's website link that you posted, but it doesn't appear to work. At least, for me it doesn't. _________________

Hi lads and gals
time for an update here!
My reef is running very nice, growing, spreading, etc ... I did get some new corals since the last time as you can see in this photo.
This is my second low tech salt water aquarium which doesn't get any water change at all.
Instead I use lots of Soft Corals which are known for their ability to uptake nutrients, but I also dose Ca, Mg, traces every 2-3 weeks.
I use skimmer only part time (12 hours skimming in night time, and 12 hours during the day skimmer is off) and this method works just fine. Actualy my Sinurarias feel much better since I started doing this
Skimmer is known to remove coral food (amino acids, organics).
I run no Phosphate removers, no NO3 removers, no Active Carbon ... I use nothing and do no WC at all only top up with dechlorinated tap water (note; tap water in Sweden has tiny tiny amounts of Chloramine in water, almost nothing)
Fish looks great corals look great other crawling inverts look great, lots of coraline growing on the back;
Regards, Dusko _________________

| Wow Dusko, that's amazing for such a low-tech tank. Your coraline growth is incredible! |

Hi lads and gals, thanks
Here is a quick video update;
REEF VIDEO HERE
Dusko
EDIT;
I just tested NO3 after a few month of not testing and it is 0 ppm no water changes in 3 month only top off, but I do dose Bio-Calcium which contains some sort of Carbon source which bacteria needs to use up the NO3 and PO4 (same as the vodka method). I also dose Salifert's All in One which contains Calcium acetate, again acetate is a Carbon source for bacteria.
I have no PO4 test at the moment but I wouldn't be surprised if it would show 0ppm _________________
