Thought I'd post pics of all of my male betta setups.
Poseidon:
I've had Poseidon since February of 2008. My hubby picked him out from a local fish store. He's a veiltail.
Ares:
I bought Ares from Petco in Feb of 08. He's a crowntail.
Zephyrus:
Just got him this month from Thailand. He's also a crowntail.
Achilles:
Achilles is a halfmoon plakat. Got him last month from Thailand.
Morpheus:
Morpheus is also from Thailand. He arrived this month and is a halfmoon.
I plan on adding some more plants to most of the tanks. _________________ Dumpster Tank

The tanks are beautiful. Very natural-looking too, and they look really big for 5.5gal. Your veiltail is very unique, it almost looks like the little mermaid's hair, I think n_n Very pretty. _________________ Koi happiness |

| I love Morpheus! I always wanted a betta like that. I love the layout for the tanks. |

| Morpheus is my dream betta, but with a little more darker red, maybe maroon. |

Thanks guys! Morpheus was the first betta I ordered from Thailand. I completely fell in love with him while browsing Aquabid at work (shh don't tell my boss!!! ) I sent a series of "AAAAAAHH I MUST HAVE HIM!" emails to a friend/fellow forum member and then I took the plunge and hit the "buy it now" button.
*sigh* It's an addiction!
I'm thinking Morpheus and his girl Celeano (she's in my "Dumpster Tank" thread) might be the first pair I breed so I may have mini Morpheuses to sell. _________________ Dumpster Tank

Nik, how do you choose your betta names? Where do you find them?
My copper crowntail is still nameless... _________________ What color is your straitjacket? |

All my bettas are named after Greek gods & goddesses. Choosing an overall "theme" can be a good idea with bettas, because they're so addictive that you usually end up with a bunch of them. _________________ Dumpster Tank

www.aquabid.com
Morpheus came from the seller Aquastar71, Zephyrus came from the seller Become_1 and Achilles came from the seller SupremeBetta. Of the three, Aquastar71 was the easiest to deal with. All three are very nice bettas, but Morpheus is probably the highest quality.
It's a bit expensive to buy from overseas, though, because you have to pay transhipping fees. _________________ Dumpster Tank

wow.... I was checking out aquabid ( I have looked at cichlids there, but never bettas). I can see what you mean about the addiciton! How do you decide! They are beyond gorgeous. Nothing like the bettas you find in the LFS... Your tanks rock, btw. _________________ greta b |
