has anyone ever or seen anyone try to make real crahing waves. I set up a large air bubler and 2 more power heads on a timer. I put the air bubles on the suction side of my return. When they all kick in it looks so cool. It only runs for a couple of minutes once a day. I am trying to make it as real as posible, It shouldn't have any advers actions on my coral should it???

Can you post a video of it, that would be cool to see. Without really seeing it, its hard to say if it will be good or bad, although I can't see it really negatively affecting them.

Are you talking about simulated wave-maker? B/c I'm a little confused at what you're describing. I know someone that has wave-making powerheads automated with Vortechs. It's actually pretty cool. It's simulated using an Aquacontroller. It's unfortunate that my Koralias can't be used since the switching on and off would burn out the motor.

If this is what you're talking about, it's actually pretty cool to see. It's very useful if you've got non-photosynthetic corals that need that wave action in order to filter feed.

It is a 3 pump wave maker but with air as well. I amjust alitle concerned with the mass amout of air.But so far there has been no negative effects(I have moved my spounges out of the bubles)
