I put 2 Banggai Cardinals in my 36 gallon tank 4 days ago. I got home today from deer hunting and one is missing. I do not have a top on my tank. Do these fish have a history of jumping The only other fish in the tank are 2 clowns and a goby. Only thing I can figure is it jump out and the cat ate it. Which would be very strange because our cat will not even eat table scraps. I'm gussing I need to get a glass top. What affect would this have on my T-5 lights?

Are they notorious for jumping like the Firefish and Jawfishes? Not to my knowledge. But all fish can jump, and I think all tanks with fish should have some type of cover. You can use plastic egg crate lighting panel material if you want. More info here:
