Another newbie question. A 3 gallon pico is very unrealistic for any living creature (especially sea anemones). Your LFS will never sell you it. Petco maybe but not any reasonably intelligent LFS. |

*sigh* Who cares if this is a "newbie question?" Was there any particular reason you felt you needed to point this out? Just answering the question probably would've sufficed. For example, Miss Priss and truestar offered very polite, more than adequate answers.
As far as LFS not selling 3 gallon saltwater setups, I disagree. Perhaps it is true for your area, but not mine and certainly not for all areas. Not only will the LFS around here sell them, one of them has a nano tank set up and advertized as being a great, inexpensive idea. I agree that it's usually not a good idea, but unfortunately stores other than Petco will indeed sell them. Even the "reasonably intelligent" LFS around here will sell 3g tanks and won't ask what they're for.

It is inappropriate to speak so curtly to a member who has 2 posts to his name when that poster asks a fully legitimate question.
Nik, I can appreciate the enthusiasm, but really, if there is an inappropriate reply, you may want to notify one of the Moderation team about it so that it can be dealt with.
A reply such as yours can escalate small errors into major battles very quickly.
Let's keep things a little more amiable on our first reply on a thread... save the aggression for replies 3, 4 or more 
(just injecting a little humor there!  )
