Well, I took down a few of my tanks (a 10g, a 15g, and a 20g). I rehomed some of the fish (waves to betsyann07) and combined the others into my 55g.

Here's the before:

And the after:

Stock:
7x female betta (soon to be adding more)
5x emperor tetra
8x harlequin rasbora
2x glowlight danio
9x panda corydora
6x habrosus corydora
4x otocinclus

the scape isn't a whole lot different, although I added more driftwood, took out the petrified wood, and added some more plants.

Here are some more random pics:

My favorite part of the tank. I just love this piece of wood! I found it at Petco in one of the tanks and made an employee fish it out for me to purchase. I had to wait like 45 minutes for someone to help me, but it was worth it! My cories loooove to hang out underneath.

An angled shot. Turned out better than the straight on shot. Confused

Please feel free to comment!

Very nice aquascape! good job. Could you post some pictures of your female bettas? I find that unique that you put so many female bettas together.

Thanks guys! Liveinabox, I plan to attempt to take some pics of the gals soon. I purchased some "photobowls" from Wal-mart (basically just vases I can plop the bettas in for better pictures) and will probably have a photo shoot when my new bettas come in from Thailand. Very Happy

Betta sororities are loads of fun!

I just got a new light off ebay *does a happy dance.* It's a T5 fixture with 180w of light. I'll also be picking up some glass tops and getting rid of the annoying plastic hood (it's the kind with a frame that makes it nearly impossible to get things in and out of the tank).

yeah that's something I have to think about with my 55. it had a top that was provided but its a stupid plastic one that is so dirty and scratched that I don't think the light will go through.

I'm planning on building a canopy with the lights built in. So I don't think I'll need a top since I want to have quite a few floating plants...

Tank looks really nice Nik! Still wondering what those little red dots aer though, have you figured it out yet?

Oh, and does your new husband know you're getting all these things or is he gonna get a big surprise when the bettas and lights and snails get in? Laughing
