Hello from Ireland. I'm a regular browser here and have barely ever posted, I'm more of a voyeur on the forums!!

Here are my two tanks, one is a 240ltr mixed Malawi/Tanganyika Tank and the other is a 300ltr Community that I plan on slowly stocking with plenty of L-number plecs soon.

Apologies for the blurred pictures, I'm not a great photographer.

Peter.

Lovely tanks. Those juli's are spectacular!

That's a ton of rock in your african tank. What is your background? Is it inside or outside?

Nice angels too - are they altums?

Kylie

Very nice tanks Very Happy

Can I have some information on the African cichlid tank? How long has it been set up for? (or more specifically how long have all the fish been together), and are the fish getting along fine? Oh and what are the water parameters Laughing thanks Razz

It's just cause most people don't attempt to mix tangs and malawi's, and most people seem to unencourage it as well...and it's something I've always really wanted to do Laughing

Yeah anyway, thanks for showing Very Happy

Thanks for the comments.

The background on the African Tank is the standard black Juwel Background. It very cheap and gives a great effect plus it is great for algae growth that the Juli fry seem to forage on.

The African tank is about 10 months running. Very little aggression at present but that is mainly due to the experts in our society guiding me.

There are great breeders in Dublin so you can tap into the wealth of information that they have.

The only aggression visible at aggression is from the Male Msobo that is beginning to colour up and I had the shift a Leilupi when two of the three paired up.

Where I live to water is like liquid concrete so the pH is a stable 7.8. I feeding mainly Spirulina Flake and various New Life pellets.

Your African tank is really great, compliments! Are you using an internal filter in this tank?

Yes the Internal mainly for Mechanical waste removal and a Fluval External too. Its well filtered plus I do massive water changes too.

Current Stock (bear with me, I'm in work)

1 Male Tetracanthus
2 Leilupi
5 Yellow Labs
3 Msobo
2 Juli. Transcriptus
2 Brichardi
2 Compressiceps
1 Synodontis
3 Pseudo. Elongatus
3 Greshakai

It's definitely fully stocked now so I will not be adding anything else particularly as many fish are juveniles. I may be shifting the Compressiceps soon depending on how the tank pans out as the Tangs are very slow growing but the Malawis become monsters fairly quickly.
