To all the managers of this site good on you
I didn't know where I should send this
Just an idea it would be really good and less confusing if you made it so we could post images straight to this site instead of having to go to a different site
If you did that I would definately send more images
well thanks just a suggestion _________________ thanks |

Why?
It is very easy to set up a (free) account with Photobucket or similar and this site doesn't have the extra load of lots of pictures.

Personally I've been using Google Picasaweb. There is also Flickr as well. _________________ "... instead of considering what to say when they write, people now just let thoughts drool out onto the screen,"

the idea of not using a third party service is nice. it is very inconvienient for us to go there, resize the image, (I have high speed and it takes forever), if there were some way to upload directly here it would be nice and we would get more photos. Remember, a picture says a thousand words. But this would take a lot of work on the admin half, so we will see what happens. _________________ http://www.myaquapro.com/ |

I have high speed internet and I sometimes resize photos on photobucket and it takes seconds. You can also use any basic photo editing utility to resize photos before you upload to a hosting service.
I don't know a whole lot about AOA's servers, but I am pretty sure they would not be able to handle a fraction of the load.
In any forum I have participated on, the bulk of the pics are hosted externally. |

Thank you all for your opinions. External image hosting has worked perfectly well for 10 years and I see no reason to further burden the aquahobby.com server with local hosting, especially considering how quicky some people are to abuse such a resource. _________________
