Does anyone else have trouble logging into this site? Just about every day, usually in the morning but it has happened at all times of the day, I get the "Page cannot be displayed" message when I enter my credentials. I know I am entering them correctly but I get this over and over. Then I wait 5 minutes and I can log in fine, same browser session and everything. IME this indicates busy web servers. I realize there are a lot of users on this site but AH's web servers aren't THAT busy are they? I've tried a fresh browser session and had the same problem.
For reference, I'm using IE7 and Windows XP Pro SP2 over broadband T-1. I run weekly antivirus scans as well as a realtime, up-to-date scan agent so viruses/malware aren't an issue.

I used to get messages like that when I used IE and when I log on using computers with IE I still get the problem. Since I switched to Firefox, I've had no problems. I have no idea if it has anything to do with using IE, since so many people here use it without problems, but it seemed to solve my problems.
That, or I did something else with my computer that solved my problems. At the same time that I switched I wiped my hard drive, removed my virus scanners, and stopped using a lot of programs like Limewire.
Sorry I can't pinpoint it. _________________

I don't think this is the same problem you are having but do you ever get a critical error cannot access the server message ?
I get this sometimes but don't know why - it only happens when trying to access the forums |

I think this has to do with when Marcos is working on the site and making it better for the rest of us. I notice that a lot too. _________________ OM NOM NOM |
