| Does any one have any experience with a Fission Nano Skimmer made by Current? I was looking at possibly buying this but was wanting to see what people had to say about it. It will go in my 10g tank that has 8lbs of live rock, 1 clown fish and 6-10 hermit crabs. |

That is the most WORTHLESS piece of junk ever built. Not only does it not skim right when and if you set it up, but it's next to impossible to keep in one piece. The parts are fragile and the air tube seems to get clogged too quickly. Also, the stuff you skim out is SO little, it's not worth even using for nano. |

On a 10 gallon tank with your livestock, you may be better off to use activated carbon aggressively, rather than a skimmer. Most internal skimmers take up more space than you can spare in a 10 gallon, and most hang on models would be overpriced for your size tank.
I would personally buy a small hang on Whisper filter and stuff the bag full with carbon, replacing monthly and cleaning daily. |
