I'm interested to purchase a new external filter for my tank with 6 golden fishes and two small plants. My tank size is around 55 litre, and each fish's length is around 3-4 inches. My objective is to have crystal-clear water and less frequent water replacement. Pls advise product models for my consideration.

Thanks & Rgds,

Chris LEUNG Smile

Actually, crystal clear water and less water changes won't be possible in a tank that size with goldfish, no matter what kind of filter you buy. Unfortunately, a 55L tank is far too small for goldfish.

Sorry... I don't want to sound discouraging.. but 6 gold fish in a 50 Liter???It is even too small for ONE gold fish. Gold fish could get very very big..

If you have the single tail one (it will grow up to 20 inches). The fancy gold fish (will grow to 10 inches).

50 liter tank is good for Betta.

Also crystal clear water doesn't mean the water is good. The water full of toxic elements, ammonia or chemical could look crystal clear too.

The only way to tell whether the water is good or not is by test it using water testing kits..

Oh dear you should do something about those goldfish, they are way two big to all be sharing a 55 litre, perhaps take a few back to your lfs or donate some to someone that you know has a pond, sorry about the bad news. Very Happy as for the clear water, nickelodeon is right. Wink
