I just got a new 75 gallon tank this week to move my fish from my 29gal into, the angels were outgrowing their old tank, and I've always wanted a really big display tank in the living room. The weather was thankfully quite nice in Seattle today, allowing me to get the background painted. I picked up some sand and flourite too, tomorrow I'll head to the stone yard to see about getting a couple boulders and then get to work on getting it setup. The plants should be here in 2 days or so.

That tank is going to be so beautiful! How did you get all the java fern to stay on the wood? Please keep us updated, I am really looking forward to the finished product!

Your angelfish is amazing, BTW.

My java fern has barely attached itself to the wood, is yours attached or just tied on?

Where did you get your Java Fern!? I am dying to find some large bunches of it and it always goes for some much on AB. And the wood? Where is that from.

Dexter isn't it? He is looking really good in there! Best of luck with the tank, you have to do updates!

More, more, MORE!!!!!

Alright well today I squeezed in time to visit my local Stone Yard and pick up a few rocks. I also spent over 3 hours removing the substrate and plants from my old tank, washing fresh flourite and pool filter sand, and setting up the new tank. The plants in there so far are only those which I had in my old tank, I'm expecting the rest within a day or two. Since the filters were used before, and 1/3 of the substrate is old material, I am planning on adding the rest of my fish from the other tank when I plant the rest of the plants. Here are some pictures until I can get the rest planted, sorry its a bit cloudy it will be better next time I promise.

My poor old tank waiting to get finished off.

To answer some questions the java fern is grown on yes, I tied 2 on originally with black cotton thread and it has since grown to what you see now over 2 years being attached to that driftwood. Alex, I bought the wood at Fish Store and the ferns I'm not sure where, but like I said the huge bush is grown you can have plenty if you want some, ill mail you some. Alas there is no space in my large tank for it, its going to stay in my 29gal whatever I decide to do with it, right now I'm thinking shell dwellers.

Heck yes I'd like some! I'll pm you now. Thanks for the offer Chris!

I love that wood so much, it looks more local than the bogwood I have, do you know the type of wood? Just another reason for me to visit TFS isn't it, maybe my parents will take me their for my B-day. Dunno.

I see some nerites in there correct? And now for another question, which stone yard did you go to, I am looking for a place that carries laterite substrate in bulk quantites and I havn't found any yet.
