The dearly departed, big, bad Mr. B. He was the one that my five year old loved to talk to. He was my first betta and I think he's the one that really got my fishy "obsession" kicked into high gear.

Two juvenile Pseudotropheus saulosi having a little skirmish above a lava rock. They would occasionally dart off to play in the bubbles and then get back to the serious business of "fighting."

Like many other brightly cloured animals, the Vermilion Biscuit Star (Pentagonaster duebeni) appears a dull grey/brown at depth. But when these creatures are subject to an underwater torch or camera flash they show their true colours in a spectacular display. This species is suitable for large coldwater and sub-tropical marine aquariums with plenty of live rock on which to graze.
