|

Please help us keep the board tidy, avoid polluting it with tests and broken links all over the place. Follow the procedure below to learn and test posting photos on the board:
1.) Read the topic Step-by-step instructions on how to post images here.
2.) Create an account on a well established, free image hosting site that allows direct linking from other sites, such as:
www.photobucket.com / www.picturetrail.com / www.imageshack.us / www.villagephotos.com
Warning: Images hosted in Google, Orkut, Geocities, Tripod, Angelfire, etc., DO NOT appear correctly and consistently for other visitors of the board, even if they appeared correctly to you. Use the recommended sites above, or find another suitable one in this extensive list.
3.) Upload your image from your computer to the hosting site.
IMPORTANT: on this board the image dimensions limit is 640 pixels in either direction. If at least one of the photos you're trying to post is bigger than that, the board will not let you. Some photo hosts can resize the image for you, but it's best to make a resized copy on your own hard drive before uploading, using an image editing software.
4.) Follow the host's instructions to obtain the correct location (URL) of the photo. This is NOT the same as the URL of a page where the image appears over there.
5.) Click on the button above to open a composition page, and paste the image URL into the message composition box.
6.) Select (highlight) the complete URL (and only the URL) in the composition box, then click on the "Img" button above the box. If you did this correctly you get something like the following:
Code: | Right:

|
If you did it wrong it may appear like this:
[code:1:de674a2b8b]Wrong:

_____^_________________________________________________________^______
Wrong:
