#12- Alex Kawazaki, A great photo, it seems sparkly, wonderful job and fits perfectly to the theme.

#14- Sacrophyton, beutiful capture, right at the perfect time, feeding.

#7- Ceci, Beutiful little froggy, almost looks as though he is right there, if there wasn't the board's format around it.

Honorable mention to Tolkein, Greenthumb and Susankat. These were a near tie with 2nd and 3rd place.

What a difficult and wonderful contest!

Wow, what a LOT of great entries this month!

1) #11 shaun. What a gorgeous fish, and an amazing photo of him.
2) #3 dusko. This is one of those photos I can see hung on a wall as art.
3) #12 Alex Kawasaki. Alex needs a handicap when he enters these contests. Alex, are you a pro photographer?? Wink

Honorable Mentions:
#4 susankatomerit's bristlenose is a great, clear photo of a really neat-looking fish, #2 HeatherR's cool shrimp pic! looks like a movie still -- off-kilter in an artsy, action kinda way, #17 tolkien's porn/anatomy shot cause it's crystal clear and made me snort my water. Wink

Awesome details! As Marcos says, it's not a contest about who can take the most close-up shot, so I've "focused" on the zoom-in details that I think the photographer was trying to show us.

1.) #3 Dusko - Excellent focus and macro, as usual, but this time it's all about the blue and green! This view of the extended polyps is very beautiful and educational.

2.) #4 susankatomerit - Excellent close-up, vivid color, but the main thing is the teeth. How often do we get to see the teeth of plecos? The view of the palatine uvula is awesome, too.

3.) #1 Petorama - Here is a detail rarely seen: the flower of the water lettuce ... and the little hairs around the "cup." (I can live with a little overexposure. After all, it's an amateur contest Wink).

Also ...
I have to compliment tolkein #17 on the excellent shot of the gonopodium. It's not often we get to see the substantial organ. Usually, it just looks like a raggedy fin, even if you peer at it closely. Good textbook shot.
Very Happy
