Submissions closed! We have 9 submissions for this month. Let's move on to the 1 week voting phase. All board members can vote, but remember...to make a valid vote you must choose your 3 favorite candidates from the selection below and clearly list them in order of preference!

Although the selection criteria are ultimately personal, we hope that each voter will take into consideration the 3 basic elements of good photography:
adequacy to the proposed theme, attentive composition and technical quality.

We also encourage everyone to add comments justifying your choices, and including praises or constructive criticism to those that weren't chosen.

Participants cannot vote for their own photo, but are expected to vote and add comments for the "other" good photos! All in the name of friendship and fun!

Voting Deadline: November 7th (Wednesday)

#01. DF Bobo

#02. Dusko

#03. Bolivian Ramage

#04. Minsc

#05. FISH FANCY

#06. Gabriel Jaya

#07. shaun64326

#08. Marcos Avila

#09. Jacko

Good luck to all!

OK, first voter Very Happy

1. 06 - Gabriel Jaya - I really love the positioning of this tank, and think it's quite original too.

2. 02 - Dusko - The tank just really fits in with the rest of the room, small and simple.

3. 05 - Fish Fancy - It looks like a lot of work has gone in to really making this tank part of the room.

And if I could have a 4th vote it would go to Jacko, just for the special Halloween effort - I love it! Laughing (and I don't have the teenager excuse either)

6 - Gabriel Jaya- I love the way the tank is under the stairs, unique idea with an odd space to fill. Very nicely done

5- Fish Fancy- I cannot even imagine how much work went into creating such a lovely built-in tank. Gorgeous!

8- Marcos - This tank makes the room feel so warm, inviting and calm. A great addition. Well done.

Great job everyone! Very Happy

This tank, fish, photo, room...everything is just perfect Smile

#08. Marcos Avila
Nice shot, nice furniture, like the brick walls, and the tank of course.

#05. FISH FANCY
This photo, lovely tank and wall that the tank is in, but would suggest turning the sofas around facing the tank Wink

Well done everyone.
Regards, Dusko.

#1. 02 Dusko - What an excellent, clean bright space! The aquarium is a subtle alternative of what to look at when the view from that wonderful window gets too old. I love the way the aquarium looks in this room!

#2. 08 Marcos - This is a great room: those great old sofas, the fireplace wall, the high ceiling. I like the way the aquarium is big enough to be seen from the sitting position, but not so close that it distracts from conversation. From the aquarium, the eye is led to the photos of the three kids on the wall to the left. Marcos, is the top one you?

#3. 04 Minsc - Nice sunny window, nice plants, nice bed, and a great vantage point from which to view that lovely aquarium.

Well, someone has to say it and I guess it might as well be me.
The following photos:
01 DF Bobo,
03 Bolivian Ramage,
07 Shaun,
and
09 Jacko,
were good photos of well-cared for aquariums. However, in my opinion, they did not fit the theme and, therefore, I could not vote for any of them.
None of these photos showed the aquarium as part of a room. I could not tell anything about the placement of the aquarium in relationship to the rest of the room's furnishings.
I hope I am not out of place with this observation, but adhering to the theme is what it's all about.
Very Happy
