1st: #6 Jun -- Bravo on a gorgeous closeup of a gorgeous fish! I can see every detail and every bit of it is perfect. The scales look hard as steel and the fins are like a flamenco dancer's dress. A warrior and his lady... OK, I'll stop. Razz

2nd: #24 Alex K -- The colors and the texture are beautiful. It doesn't even look real. It must be tiny. What an amazing plant... and well, no need to comment on the photography. Are you a professional??

3rd: #13 Misprint -- You're going to be another contest hog like Alex, I can tell. Wink The crisp focus really makes this picture. I love the textural contrast.

Mentions: deborah_claro for another great fish closeup... I'm just a betta person! JB for a beautiful carpet of plant texture... if the image size had been bigger, I think it would have competed better. and of course, aberdufi... a bright, beautiful image.

My favorites:

1st) #2 .Dusko - as always, more one photo technically perfect!

2nd) #14. gm333 - beautiful colors and excellent sharpness!

3rd) #21. J.B. - I liked the velvety texture. The photo would be better in larger resolution

A big hug,

1st - #24 Alex Kawazaki: I love how sharp and focused this photo is. Well done!

2nd - #13 Misprint: Once again, a lovely photo from you. The composition between the Apple Snail and the rock is very good. Well done to you too!

3rd - #21 J.B.: Absolutely lovely. I love how the plants take up the whole photo. The lines of all the small leaves breaks the sight of green a lot, which is a good technique!Smile

Well done to all, this one was perhaps the toughest yet! Very Happy

Blair

1. #13 I love the folds of the apple snail against the rock. Very interesting and beautiful.

2. #14 I just really like the beautiful, bright color and texture in this photo.

3. #24 I think that the leaves on this plant look like peacock feathers. Very interesting picture.
