1. #6 Jun- I love how clearly you can see the scales on this betta! Plus the colors of the fish are stunning!

2. #13 Misprint- The snail's foot just looks so squishy and soft whereas the rock and its shell look hard and a bit rough. Also, this photo is nicely focused.

3. #11 Aberdufi- The round and soft-looking bubbles contrast nicely with the clean-cut edges of the plants. Plus the direction the betta is looking in draws the eye to his bubblenest.

This contest, like always, was rather difficult. But, I think that all of the contestants met the requirements well. It was very hard to choose which ones I liked best! Good luck to everyone!

1. #23
2. #14
3. #10

Very difficult this time round! They were all very good, and I had 6 favourites I definitely wanted to vote on (excluding my own) and found it very hard to narrow it down to these 3

Very good pictures everyone!

1. # 13. --It is CUTE and have never seen one before. Nice focus too.

2. # 07. -- Nice close up! I like the white strips that go down the fishes body.

3. # 01. -- Beatiful glow! The red complements the flouresent blue!

Yes very difficult to judge. But this is just my opinion.

There were lots of good photographs, no doubt about it, but IMO these three fit the theme the best, and are my favorites.

#1. 04 Ceci - Original idea, and fits the theme to a tee. I love biofilms.
#2. 01 Michael L. - A great look, and lots of texture like a spawning mop.
#3. 19 Dawn - This one has the textural look of a small area rug. Not something you expect in the aquarium! The few tiny bubbles off to the right remind us we're underwater ... I like it.

Very Happy

number one: #23 deborah_claro- I would have chose the same theme, if only I had the skill and patience to focus and stay still to get a shot like that! Awesome! Aren't these cameras great?!

number two: #4 ceci9293- The bio-slime is an original idea and I love the texture of this photo! Very creative, IMO.

number three: #24 Alex- I think his is one of the prettiest pics in this contest... Everything you touch is gold, isn't it?

I wish I could vote to make people tie because there's a lot of talent here! What a nice selection we have. Congrats to everyone who participated!

This is my first time voting. Next time I hope to make an entry. All the pictures were nice and it was hard to pick. These were my fist reaction choices.

1st 24 this was just so unusual and beautiful
2nd 15 great detail on this little guy, not an easy feat
3rd 12 just gorgeous caught at the right moment
