|
|
This is possibly the most advanced "photography" theme we'll have this year, but I can't resist finding out how well we can tackle the theme!
Themepic by Humberto Fabretti
Themepic by Fabiano Pita
Aquarium Textures
Best photos highlighting the many kinds of surface textures & patterns found in aquariums!
Both living and non-living are game: skins, scales, shells, leaves, gravel, rocks, bubbles...
Reminders: Be creative and surprise us, but stick to the theme. You can and should make minor retouches to your image as long as it remains photo-realistic. The photo must be yours, but the photographed subject doesn't need to be.
Deadline for entries: July 24th. (not the end of the month!)
Deadline for voting: July 31st.
Be sure to read the 2007 Monthly Photo Contest Rules carefully before posting your photo! By posting here you are automatically agreeing to them.
On with the contest...good luck! _________________

Cuttlefish at the public aquarium. He looks so raspy on the skin/scales. _________________ Now all your loach are belong to us!

EDIT: Changing my entry for a shot taken 7/19 while doing waterchanges. This is the biofilm on the inner wall of my tank, exposed to the air as the level dropped.

This is a picture of my new Wisteria plant, I got a bunch of it shortly after getting 2 Electric Blue Jack Dempseys(only 1 inch big), one of which was playing hide and go seek inside this plant.

My crowntail male betta, Arrius. Or part of him, anyway.
I love the scales and the red ventral fins. I wish I'd been able to get him flaring more with just a touch of his bright red gill membrane, but this will have to do. ^^ _________________

This is my mom's angelfish, I have no clue what kind it is though, I don't think it is a scalare.
