1) Misprint's #17- Brilliant! I wonder if this cory knows how perfect that spot is?
2) ambell1616's #25- Like 17, if not for the eye, this fish would be a rock, both in color and shape.
3) Heather K's #3- I really thought the rock-like fish was the gray in the middle the first several times I looked at this photo. When I recognized the spikey yellow blob as a fish, it was a surprise!

Honorable Mentions:
Marcos Avila's angelfish. I was really torn between this one and Munkee's scorpion fish. I think what pushed me toward hers was the lightness and clarity of her photo, which I guess is unfair, since Marcos' photo is supposed to be of angels camoflaging themselves in dim light... but ultimately, it's got to be up to personal taste, right?
Jun's betta. Just a beautiful photo, both in composition and color.

Ceci #15-I could not see/find anything in that photo and I looked for a long time, tracing every leaf! the only thing I could find was in the upper right hand corner (?)...to me that is what the topic is all about! Good Luck

Misprint #17-I ditto the comment of the Cory Blending in! Great Job and Good Luck

Dusko #19-Great photo...that crab does look like it is ready to dart away!

Good Luck to everyone!

I'm back! *dramatic Music and maniacal laugh*
Cool

Now for my vote

13 - Wow what a beautiful subject. Fits the criteria well.

20 - I'm a sucker for curious fish. It looks like a cartoon where one head is above another and you wonder how they do it.

17 - Well camouflaged fits the theme well.

Honorable mention to all involved. Every one of these entries are great.
Keep Up the good work! Very Happy

Hello folks!

This month's photo contest was truly hard to pick a photo for that fits the theme, and what photos to vote for! Every photo, in my opinion was good, they stuck to the theme and there is nice colours in every one.

My votes for this month's contest are as follows:

1st -#9 Petorama: This photo fits the theme excellently, the fish blends in without even trying, and looks very like some coral. This photo also emphasises how certain fish have evolved to evade predators in their natural habitat.

2nd - #17 Misprint: When I first seen this photo, I just thought "Wow!" Very Happy It's almost like the aircraft carrier is alive! Laughing The overall composition of the photo is also good; the Cory is centered and the windows on the carrier just lead your eyes to him.

3rd - #12 Mr Twister: The way the fish blends in with the rock behind it is fantastic. When I first looked at it, I didn't guess there was a fish there! Laughing

Honorable Mentions:

The photos that were just behind Mr Twister in 3rd were Heather K, Dusko, underOATH87 and Marcos Avila. All were good photos but Mr Twister just edged it.

Good contest all, no votes for me yet sadly. Laughing
