Submissions closed! We have 30 submissions in what turned out to be quite an engaging theme. Let's move on to the 1 week voting phase! All board members can vote, but remember...to make a valid vote you must choose your 3 favorite candidates from the selection below and clearly list them in order of preference!

Although the selection criteria are ultimately personal, we hope that each voter will take into consideration the 3 basic elements of good photography:
adequacy to the proposed theme, attentive composition and technical quality.

We also encourage everyone to add comments justifying your choices, and including praises or constructive criticism to those that weren't chosen.

Participants cannot vote for their own photo, but are expected to vote and add comments for the "other" good photos! All in the name of friendship and fun!

#11. deborah_claro.... I love the "look" on the cory's face. It's as if he's saying "Omigosh! Where did you come from?" Very lovely.

#17. Misprint.... I like how this cory sort of blends in with the bridge. Kind of like accidental comouflage. Very neat.

#24. shaun64326.... To me, it looks like this little guy is saying "Yeah, I'm right here. Can you go away, now?" Very nice-looking.

#19 - Dusko, this is a great photo. Looks like the little crab could duck behind at any moment. Then Poof! He's gone. Well done.

#17- Misprint, I love the way this little cory blends into the ship. Very nice capture.

#13- Jun, this betta is lovely, he hides in the shadows well, and only his deep blue coloration gives his hiding spot away.

#10 Michael L.... simply stunning, looks like a dove about to fly away... but you would never know what it is.

#17 Misprint.... This looks like something that should be in a gallery (real, not internet)

#3 Heather K.... The colors are great, and I had a hard time figuring out which "thing" was the fish. Very Happy

#13: Jun: Wonderful looking fish! The green plants and the red rock really compliment his color.

#3: Heather K: Beutiful fish and tank, I have always liked these fish, though I am guessing this one is of an lfs.

#11: deborah_claro: I love how he looks as though he isn't being noticed and probably thinks he blends in with the greenery of the Java Moss so well.

Oh wow wonderful pictures,

But truly in my opinion #25 captures the true essence of the theme.. the Mbuna fits right into the surroundings with it's spherical shape and grayish color..great picture. Very Happy

Second is 11: deborah_claro:

Third vote is #13: Jun
