I hate to be a bearer of bad news, but your tank is overstocked with the black ghost in there. He will get huge and will need at least a 100 gals to sustain him. Your tetras will do better in larger groups but you don't have room for more than 1 group.

I would suggest reading the articles section and looking at the gallery for all your fish to see the requirements of each. You have fish that need cooler water, fish that need warmer water, and fish inbetween.

I have a bigger tank for the bgk and I'm just waiting for him to get bigger...
the tetras all seem to get along well and school together for the most part.
while I am aware of the overstocking, I compensate by gravel vacing once a week and do bi weekly water changes with a filter that is more than enough.

Thats good you have a bigger tank, I hope its at least 100 gal. But you still have fish that requires different water parameters. Your hillstream loach requires cooler water, while your German ram requires very soft water and temps to 82 degrees, which will be to warm for all the other fish.

The water changes you are doing really aren't enough to compensate for the overstocking. With a properly stocked tank, you should do weekly water changes.
