to clean your powerheads!

I was starting to get a ton of algae in my 10g. Cyano, hair, green and brown Surprised. I decided to step up the water changes and saw little improvement.

Then I remembered that I only set up one powerhead after bringing the tank back from school. I attached the second microjet and saw the difference. It actually pushed water. The other powerhead had clogged up its internal prefilter on algae gunk.

After doubling my turnover in 10min, my algae looks less happy already.

Equipment cleaning is a very important aspect of this hobby...one I find enjoyable as well.
