First of all I must apologize to everyone for the untimely interruption of the submission period by a very misguided member who took it upon himself to start the voting phase over 3 hours before the end of the customary deadline (even before I had submitted my own entry). I sincerely hope that no one was drawn away from submitting their photo by this unfortunate incident.

But let's move on to the 1 week voting phase now. We have 19 submissions in this contest. All board members can vote, but make a valid vote you MUST choose your 3 favorite candidates from the selection below and clearly list them in order of preference!

We also encourage everyone to add comments justifying your choices, and including praises or constructive criticism to those that weren't chosen.

Participants cannot vote for their own photo, but are expected to vote and add comments for the "other" good photos! All in the name of friendship and fun!

Voting Deadline: April 4th (Wednesday)

Thanks Marcos. No defamation there. I get this message saying that all times are GMT + 10 Hours whenever I post a message. Maybe set a GMT time for the deadline next time. Razz

For my entrants:

#1 Jan - Nice photo. I can definitely see the monitoring theme going on here. I like the little story you gave with the photo too.

#2 Marcos Avila - Excellent Quality shot. The theme wasn't as strong in this photo, but the quality of the shot more then compensated.

#3 JunBetta - I like this photo. It definitely stands out. I can see the theme represented from every fish's perspective.
Free is Good.

#18 I love those clowns! The expressions on their face is priceless. I think this photo best shows the topic of this contest.

#16 I think this too shows the topic about as close as my first choice! It makes me laugh to think that little crab is thinking no one will be able to take him away from his shell!

#2 This one is makes me smile! I think if anyone tried to take his toy away they'd be toast! Wink

I think everyone did awesome pictures! I love the rams and #5's picture is too funny! Good job guys! Very Happy

I chose these because I really picked up a sense of protection from these photos. The pair of Kribs because I have a pair of my own and I know how protective the male is of the female. #7 because you can see the teamwork going on in the photo. And #19 because shrimp are really interesting, and to see that such a small thing can find it's way to the very top and hold it down is really cool.
