It's really beatiful stuff, but according to my LFS unfortunately illegal to have in California. I was given some by someone out of state and showed a piece to my LFS because I couldn't remember the name of it, and he broke the bad news to me. The stuff grows like crazy, and I had to rip it all out and destroy it. |

LOL, I can kinda see where that makes sense. But I still can't help but laugh about it. People so strict these days. _________________

wow why is it illegal? I've heard certain fish and certain plants are illegal in some areas of the US but never understood why. _________________ 75 G: 4 dojo, 4 giant danio, 4 cories, 2 fancy guppy, 2 kissing gourami

Well it's all about the environment. Say that plant he has in the tank get's thrown out carelessly near a pond or lake, and the plant start growing like crazy, taking over the water. That changes the whole system that has been going on. Different fish may react a certain way to the plant, taking over in numbers. IDK, I'm just blabbling on. But you get the point? _________________

Oh, I love Hygrophila, especially polysperma! I would love to get my hands on some, do you keep yours in gravel?
