Just put 3 yo-yos in the tank. Hope that will take care of my snail problem.

They are a fine addition to my tank. I'm very happy with it so far. If they can eat the snails, it will be a plus.

I recommend you get 3-5 more..they like being in shoals of 5+

just watch to see if they act aggressively towards your corys though..some loaches (usually not yoyos) will be mean to corys..

yoyo loaches can reach 6", so a 125 gallon tank with not a lot of fish would be more than OK...good work...

all loaches love frequent large waterchanges, you are set..looking at your signature.. Smile

Yo-yo loaches will descimate a snail population. I put 3 in my 55 gallon last year and there wasn't a snail to be found after a few days. I actually took some of the pesky snails from my 10 gallon and put them in the 55 just so I could watch the yo-yo loaches in action. They suck the snails out of their shell leaving the empty shell.

Unfortunately the yo-yo loaches I got weren't in good shape at purchase and only one remains. He's now in my 120 gallon tank. I've been trying to find some other yo-yos to keep him company but there aren't any around here. I had to order the original three from the internet and since they weren't healthy I don't want to do that again. I just bought a Burmese Border Loach (although it could just be a Burmese loach, it's still too small to tell) last weekend and they seem to enjoy each other's company. I would have bought more than one Burmese but they only had one left at the store Sad
