Convicts, male and female here???

I have what I think to be a male and female convict....both in the 2" to 3" range at present...I'm pretty sure the first one is a male (long dorsal fins), but am not 100% sure about the 2nd (shorter fins, but no orange coloring). What do you guys think?

Male (looks like he got roughed up by a rock or something, on his side)


and the female??

Looks like 2 males.

Females will have at least a few scales that are orange. I don't see it on either fish.

I have had female convicts that, when young, only show the orange scales occasionally. But when they get older you should be able to see at least a speck of orange. I'd just wait a bit to see what the "female" grows to be.

I agree with Psyfalcon it look like two male to me cause on the female u can really see the orange on the belly of the fish.
