I have seen a lot of people putting bettas in their tank. is it possible to put one in with my community or cichlid tank? I wanted one of the ones with the big colorful fins..I thought they would just get nipped at

I wouldnt put one into your 55 with the cichlids, they are pretty aggresive to non-cichlid fish..sometimes..

but you could probably have one in your 20 with the yoyos and platys... Smile

Well, if you're worried about fin nipping and aggression, a female would be better as their fins are typically short and are much milder than males. If you think your 20g is peaceful enough and wouldn't pose a threat to poor bettas fins, you could go with a male. :D

yea, platys are very peaceful, and the yoyos won't bother a betta, you could get whatever betta you like Smile

brett, I just read a post you had on another thread saying that 20 gallons is too small for yoyo loaches.. Crying or Very sad I was also wondering if there was a good bottom feeder for in my cichlid tank..(sorry for the questions off the topic of this thread, I didn't want to make another topic for just one question)
