I bought 6 juvies recently

2 males 4 females (I thought)

Males had the blue/red stripes
Females were pale with less defined stripes

It now seems that some of the females may actually be males
they don't have good stripe definition...but have quite a bit of red in fins and around their heads and they aren't interested in the advances from the "males" and have been chasing the 1 fish that is most likely a female (light stripes and green body...very very light red in fins)

Do some females have red fins and head with a light body or do some males have less stripe definition?

I thought they may be a different species but they don't have the black leading edge to the dorsal of the other know species.

Any comments/feedback would be appreciated
