Fishy character and personality have been captured perfectly in each of these examples (and they're blue, too):

1. #02 MattTVI - I like the big, bold, 3-D look of this fish, the massive amounts of water surrounding him, the perfectly out of focus backround, and the tiny, cheerful, accompanying fish at his tail.
2. #12 John Nakachima - A great photo of a little gourami with a lot of character.
3. #23 Danikins - This is a very soft and expressive photo. I guess I would say this pretty fish has a soulful expression. The way the plant stem alligns with the stripe on the fish is nice - makes it seem transparent and unearthly. Very nice!

And, thanks to xPat, I now know where they get that 4-petal "flower" motif for Spongebob's underwater theme.

My chosen...

1st) #09. xPat - An image full of beauty and poetry! I would have voted for the three times in her, if it was allowed...

2nd) #15. Dusko - As usual, other photo technically perfect and beautiful

3rd) #02. MattTVI - I like the effect of the blue light filtered by the water invading and contaminating the other colors of the fish

A big hug,

Fantastic pics everyone!

I vote for these three because of their unearthly quality. Each seems almost alien in certain respects, and therefore so wonderfully represent the wide variety of life our planet hosts.

03 Michael L
09 xPat
